A unique legal framework makes CanadaNIL possible — and powerful. Here's how it works:
Under strict U.S. F-1 student visa rules, international athletes are legally prohibited from engaging in "active" off-campus employment while in the United States. Through the Home Country Rule, these athletes can legally earn NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) compensation by returning home to Canada during their breaks to perform legitimate work. CanadaNIL facilitates this compliance, connecting elite Division I talent with organizations that want to host world-class youth programming in their own communities.
